About Matt:Matt Stevens is a musician and composer from North London. He uses an acoustic guitar and a sampler to create multi layered tracks live. This is often called Live Looping. His music is compared with artists as diverse as John Mclaughlin and Sigur Ros. He plays live all over the UK. Last year saw the release of the Parks EP Box Set on KEA records that sold out. A debut album Echo is released this year.He also produces a regular podcast, a blog, facebook, youtube and a myspace.Honesty and Integrity is valued over perfection.

This is a live version of my song 8.19 which is going to be on my second album which is called Ghost and is out later in the year. The “synth” type noise is an ebow run through a whammy pedal. Its from the run of ustream concerts streamed on the internet last year. Its quite a Smiths/Fripp type track.…

Matt Stevens (Guitars) - Spencer Park(Norwich Bootleg) Live 08
This is a live version of my song Spencer Park - its an audience recording from a gig I did in Norwich a couple of years ago - the quality of the recording isn’t great - one mic in the audience but I’ve cleaned it up as best i can. I was playing in a cafe bar - you can really hear the audience moving around. I like it that you can hear my pedals clicking and the glasses of the audience. As it… Continue
