I'm a Kenyan writer and performer (acting, dance, music) living in Nairobi, Kenya.
I create performance based on the lives of East African people, using interviews and performing the stories with music, dance and narrative.
For nine years I was a director of The Theatre Company, which travelled to Holland in 2006 with a 11-person troupe of actors, dancers and musicians, to perform my play KigeziNdoto (A Hook for Dreams).
Today, I run The Arts Canvas, also called Turubai za Fani in Kiswahili. We recently toured KigeziNdoto round Tanzania and Kenya. I'm writing scripts for television while still working on my solo stage performance of They Call Me Wanjiku and hoping to find a dramaturg/producer to bring it to a Kenyan and wider audience.
